a combination of Quickie and Stratos
Victor Francisco Merino Jimenez, a Spanish homebuilder designed his own tandemwing. He used the plans of a Quickie and added sweep to the front wing. Like on the Stratos he connected the front and read wing with rudders. At first look it looks more like a Stratos, but it has the engine in the front like the Quickie.
Victor told me it flew good. Sadly during the testflight his wheel hit a stone and the airplane was damaged too hard to get it in the air again. It is now in a museum.
Specifications:
Span 6 m (19,68 ft)
Wing area 9 m2 (96,87 sq ft)
The fuselage has a control surface at the rear. It serves as a rudder.
The rudders are not functional by deflecting the rear part of the rudder, but by extending a spoiler at the outside of the rudder. When used together, it serves as airbrakes.
The front wing has a full span control surfaces. It are elevons.
The rear wing has no control surfaces.
