LUFT 46, the website of Dan Johnson. RIP.

Dan Johnson, the founder of LUFT46, passed away and his website came offline. That website was a real treasure of information. It was sad to see it disappear. So, i took on the task to revive it. I hope you will be as amazed by his website as i was in the past. Enjoy.

The old Luft46 website had a different lay-out than my website. I am forced to alter it into my system. I cannot do it otherwise. I hope the new lay-out will not give you less enjoyment of viewing his wonderful work.

His website had more than 100 pages. And I need to rebuild them all. It is a huge work, but i will try to do it in a few months. If it takes longer, forgive me.

During WWII, German aircraft designers put forth many aircraft project ideas, which ranged from the
practical to the bizarre. Some of these ideas were ahead of their time and reached a more advanced
design stage, and even affect aircraft today. Within the pages of Luft '46 you will find descriptions of
these aircraft projects, illustrated with three-view drawings, model photos and custom color artwork....
