The second fairing / The basis

a intensive change
Is it a space ship? Well, i guess many people on the road thought it was. But this was actually the shape i used. I drove half a year with it daily to my work.

The construction

This time i plan to change all except powertrain, battery, wheelbase, frame. All the rest will change.
a more supporting seat (semi-recumbent), feet forward (i like this position), more weather protection and very narrow (i will use it on daily commuting and that means i will need to split lane a lot).
I used stainless steel plate to create the basis of my new body. The body itself will be in alu plates. Probably riveted too.
The new steering system not installed yet. Just showing the seating position. Placing the seat lower was not possible. The frame does not allow that.
Here you can see the steering system i designed myself.
I added a lot of cover. You enter it from the left side. That hole (here still without its lid) was for my hand to get the key turned.
As you can see, there was only access from one side. The left side. At the right i enclosed the area between nose and tail. My leg was still able to touch the ground. Sorry, i made this very short test ride in my street without helmet. Many may think it would be ideal to be lossing my head in a accident. But sadly in these pictures it is not visible that there is a flat area under the edge where the cover stops in front of me. So if i have a accident, i hit a flat surface and not will be cut. Sadly ... i experienced it too.
